Access to quality health and social services in French for all Francophones in Manitoba.
Mandate and Scope
The Conseil communauté en santé du Manitoba (CCS) assumes a leadership and coordination role in fostering access to quality French language services in the health and social services sectors.
Specifically, the mandate of the CCS is to:
- develop and promote the Franco-Manitoban community’s vision regarding access to quality health and social services in French to the government bodies and organizations concerned;
- propose, introduce and implement or support various strategies for the Franco-Manitoban community’s vision for access to French language health and social services to be implemented by the government bodies and organizations concerned.
CCS activities fall under five main categories:
- Support for planning French language services
- Support for developing and implementing French language service plans
- Communication and networking
- Training, recruitment and retention of human resources
- Support services (translation, language training, resource materials, etc.).
